Patient Satisfaction

HCAHPS (the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) is a patient satisfaction survey required by CMS (the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) for all hospitals in the United States. The Survey is for adult inpatients, excluding psychiatric patients.

How Are We Performing?

NEBH continues to perform well above national benchmarks. We rank in the 99th percentile compared to all hospitals for likelihood of recommending the hospital and overall rating of care.

How Do We Continuously Improve?

Providing our patients with a great experience is embedded in the NEBH culture. Patient feedback is constantly solicited and measures are always in place to foster improvement. NEBH is proud to be recognized as a top-performing hospital sustaining the highest level of performance, including top rankings in patient satisfaction nationally.

We credit our high patient satisfaction scores in part to our commitment to “the Baptist Way.” Our employees are motivated and eager to provide patients with an excellent Baptist experience and to resolve issues to the best of their ability. Discovering new ways to please and satisfy our patients has become a way of life for Baptist employees, because caring for and comforting our patients is our highest mission. Additionally, we have recently refreshed our patient education materials and have enlisted multidisciplinary teams to work to enhance the care environment with the goal of achieving top performance.
