Hospital honored by peers as a top performer in clinical quality and patient experience for nine consecutive years
New England Baptist Hospital, the premier regional provider for orthopedic surgery and the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases and disorders, has again been named a Guardian of Excellence Award recipient by Press Ganey Associates, Inc., for outstanding clinical quality and patient experience. NEBH is the only hospital in New England to receive this award for nine years in a row.
Press Ganey, the nation’s leading healthcare performance improvement and analytics organization, recognizes top-performing healthcare organizations with the distinction for consistently reaching the 95th percentile for patient experience. Each year, Press Ganey awards healthcare organizations with this nationally recognized symbol of achievement. Award recipients must sustain performance in the top five percent consistently for every reporting period in that year.
“NEBH is honored to once again receive The Guardian of Excellence award. We are New England’s only orthopedic specialty hospital and this specialization translates into exceptional patient care,” said Trish Hannon, president and CEO, New England Baptist Hospital. “Our entire team of physicians, nurses, and staff are at the heart of what we do in transforming the lives of patients and their families each and every day.”
In addition to the Guardian of Excellence award, NEBH has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top hospitals in the country for orthopedics. NEBH was ranked as one of the top 100 women-led businesses in Massachusetts by The Commonwealth Institute and Boston Globe Magazine.
“We are proud to partner with New England Baptist Hospital,” said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO of Press Ganey. “This award is a testament to the organization’s leadership in delivering patient-centered care. By achieving and sustaining this level of excellence, New England Baptist Hospital continues to demonstrate their commitment to reducing patient suffering and advancing the overall quality of health care.”
