NEBH President and CEO Trish Hannon to Retire End of September

As of September 30, 2018, Trish Hannon, MBA, RN, will step down from her role as President and CEO of New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH). Ms. Hannon held this role since 2009 when she became the 10th President and Chief Executive Officer of NEBH, and the fifth woman to lead the institution since its founding in 1893. As President and CEO, Ms. Hannon refocused the hospital’s mission as a specialty teaching hospital in the care of patients with musculoskeletal disorders. Today, NEBH is the best recognized and most respected hospital brand in orthopedic care in New England.


New England Baptist Hospital Chosen by Walmart® as Center of Excellence for Hip and Knee Replacement

 New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH), the premier regional provider for orthopedic surgery and the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases and disorders, has been chosen by Walmart as a center of excellence for hip and knee replacement surgery. Eligible Walmart medical plan enrollees can elect to receive joint replacement surgery at NEBH and receive enhanced benefits to cover all of the costs of the procedure, travel, lodging and expenses for the patient and their companion. This is the third relationship of its kind for the Baptist following agreements with UniCare and General Electric.


New England Baptist Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Move Ahead to Implement Joint Venture Partnership with Today’s HPC Vote Allowing Entry into the BIDCO Network

The Massachusetts Health Policy Commission today issued its Cost Market Impact Review Final Report, clearing the path for New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH) and its physician group to join the Beth Israel Deaconess Care Organization (BIDCO), an Accountable Care Organization and physician and hospital network, as a member. NEBH will be the first specialty hospital in BIDCO.
