Sports Medicine Fellowship

The goal of this Fellowship is to offer four fellows advanced training in the management of sports medicine injuries, including surgical treatment, postoperative care, and rehabilitation. The fellows actively participate in the day-to-day management of patients and a surgical schedule which is heavily weighted towards arthroscopic and open treatment of shoulder, knee, ankle, and elbow pathology.

Conferences and Clinical Research

There are six conferences per month including topics on biomechanics, basic science, and clinical sports medicine and rehabilitation. There is a Journal Club each month.

The fellows are expected to be involved in either a clinical research or biomechanical project during their year, and produce at least one major clinical presentation.

Fellowship Details and Requirements

Duration: 1 year (August 1 to July 31)

Deadline: December 1

Stipend: $78,000/year plus benefits

The applicant must be Board-eligible and obtain a full Massachusetts license and have experience in general orthopedics.

This fellowship is ACGME accredited.
