Fellows will evaluate and manage over 1,000 patients under the tutelage of 5 spine physiatrists, all whom emphasize patient education, informed decision-making, and active, patient-oriented treatments. During the fellowship, fellows learn to judiciously use spine interventions, and will perform over 500 spine injection procedures under the close supervision of experienced interventionalists.
The Spine Center is committed to multiple academic and research endeavors, and is a major teaching site for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of Harvard Medical School. The fellow is required to actively participate in these academic activities.
