New England Baptist Hospital is committed to clearly and thoroughly communicating with all patients and their families about the care we provide. Interpreter services for non-English speaking and hearing impaired patients are important to providing quality health care.
A network of interpreters is available for those who need assistance. Trained medical interpreters for many different languages can be scheduled on request. The AT&T language Line is also available for non-scheduled requests. TDD sets are available at the Hospital switchboard for hearing-impaired patients. To obtain an interpreter, ask your physician, or call the Nursing Office at 617-754-5027. To reach NEBH by TDD phone: 617-754-5123.
The Hospital provides portable devices (TDD sets) for hearing impaired patients during their hospital stay.
