You may want to discuss visitation with family and loved ones, and consider setting a visitation schedule in order to ensure you get optimal rest and therapy while you are in the hospital. When you have visitors, we ask that you be respectful of fellow patients by keeping conversations, phone calls, and television volumes low.
People who are sick or not feeling well should not visit you during your stay.
Your room is also a workspace for your clinician, and there may be times where a clinician asks family and visitors to step out of the room. We ask that you assist us in providing exceptional care by honoring the providers’ requests.
The Hospital may restrict visitation if it is in the best interest of your recovery, or for other reasons that might interfere with your care.
Visitors under age the age of 15 should be accompanied by an adult.
Handicapped parking is available. Please ask for directions to these spaces at the Main Entrance, or ask any security officer.
For your comfort and convenience, complementary valet service is available Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. There is no additional fee for valet service. To reduce wait time, please text your valet ticket number to 617-934-2344 15 minutes before you would like to pick your car up.
When leaving the Hospital, please pay for parking at the Parking Pay Machines located in the Lobby. You may also pay the parking attendant as you exit the lot Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–9:00 PM.
The machines accept $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills, as well as MasterCard, Visa, and American Express credit cards. You must have your ticket with you to pay in the Lobby.
The Cafeteria is located on the third floor of the Lahey building and is open seven days a week.
The cafeteria menu features: hot and cold entrees; pizza; daily specials; a deli bar; a salad bar; burgers; hot dogs; and an assortment of fresh, ready-made salads and sandwiches. In addition, vending machines are located in the foyer at the exit of the Cafeteria.

Lunch: 11:00 AM–2:00 PM
Salad Bar: 2:00 PM–4:00 PM
Dinner: 4:00 PM–7:00 PM

Interpreter services for non-English-speaking and hearing-impaired patients are important to providing quality health care.
A network of interpreters is available for those who need assistance. Trained medical interpreters for many different languages can be scheduled on request. The AT&T language Line is also available for non-scheduled requests. TDD sets are available at the Hospital switchboard for hearing-impaired patients. The Surgical Nurse Liaison Program at New England Baptist Hospital offers comfort to family and friends of loved ones having surgery.
Every surgical inpatient is assigned an experienced operating room nurse as their nurse liaison.
The nurse will keep your guests informed of your progress during surgery and answer any questions they might have.
Your guest will get an electronic pager that will alert them when there is any news, so they can feel comfortable going to the cafeteria or outside of the hospital while they are waiting.
The Currie Prayer Room, located on the fourth floor of the Jenks Building, offers a quiet place for meditation and reflection.
Located just off the Main Lobby, the Gift Shop offers a wide variety of items, including fresh flowers, balloons, lotions, candy, magazines, greeting cards, home décor items, and more. We will gladly deliver any gifts or flowers to patient rooms free of charge.
The Gift Shop also provides shopping for your orthopedic needs such as ice packs, cast covers, canes, thermometers, elastic shoe laces, back sponges, etc.
