Dr. Sean E. Rockett is an Orthopedic Surgeon at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH). In addition to his work at NEBH, Dr. Rockett holds an academic appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Dr. Rockett has been recognized and awarded with a number of honors, including the Vitals.com Patients’ Choice 5th Anniversary Award (2012), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2009 – 2012), and Vitals.com Patients’ Choice Award (2008 – 2012). He is a member of a number of professional societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Medical Association and serves as Diplomate for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Rockett is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and holds a subspecialty certificate in Sports Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Harvard University. Following that, he completed his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine and his internship in general surgery from Tufts Medical Center. From there, Dr. Rockett finished his residency in orthopaedic surgery from the same institution.
Dr. Rockett is affiliated with a number of teams including the Boston Bolts Soccer Club, Natick High School, Belmont Hill School, Blue Man Group, CrossFit Games Medical Team and CrossFit Northeast Regionals Medical Team.
When he’s not seeing patients or teaching students, Dr. Rockett’s outside interests include art history and the history of ancient Greece and Rome. Additionally, he is a triathlete, a Crossfit Games competitor and CrossFit Level One Certified.
