Peter Dewire, M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH). In addition to his work at NEBH, Dr. Dewire holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Clinical Instructor of Socio-Medical Sciences and Community Health at Boston University School of Medicine.
Dr. Dewire earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He also completed an Internal Medicine internship at The Veterans’ Administration Medical Center in Boston, and an Internal Medicine Residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York. In addition, Dr. Dewire has a fellowship in Rheumatology from University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
Dr. Dewire’s General Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery training was completed at University of Buffalo School of Medicine. He also received advanced training in Foot and Ankle Surgery with Marilyn Yodolowski, M.D. at Pro Sports Orthopedics.
He is an active member of American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, New England Orthopedic Society and Massachusetts Medical Society. He is also a Fellow for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Dewire’s clinical interests are foot and ankle surgery, including joint replacement surgery.
