Dr. Paul P. Weitzel is an Orthopedic Surgeon at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH). In addition to his work at NEBH, Dr. Weitzel serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is Head Team Physician for Tufts University and Wellesley High School, and assists in medical coverage for the Boston Celtics. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
Dr. Weitzel is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and holds a subspecialty certificate in orthopedic sports medicine. He earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, completed a Harvard Orthopedic Residency, and did his sports medicine fellowship at Tufts-New England Medical Center.
Dr. Weitzel’s clinical interests lie in sports medicine with a primary emphasis on minimally invasive arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee.
