Dr. Joel S. Newman is a musculoskeletal radiologist at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH). He has over 20 years’ experience in extremity imaging including MR, CT and Ultrasound as well as expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound for imaging and intervention. His clinical and academic interests include foot and ankle imaging and intervention using all modalities.
In addition to his work at NEBH, Dr. Newman holds an academic appointment as Clinical Professor of Radiology at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is a member of a number of societies, including the International Skeletal Society and the Society of Skeletal Radiology.
A prolific speaker, he has been invited to lecture and present both nationally and internationally. He has authored or co-authored 36 manuscripts, 9 book chapters, 26 abstracts, and 19 scientific exhibits, and has been named a Boston Magazine “Top Doctor” three times.
Dr. Newman is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology and received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School.
