As more and more people are socially distancing, people are finding creative ways to exercise. There are several ways to work out at home, from free YouTube channels, social media live streams, and free on demand classes that enable you to get your workout in, all from the safety of your home.

Here are a few tips to help you get started before making the transition to working out at home:

Be aware of your surroundings

  • Ensure the workspace you are using for your chosen activity is free of clutter and you have enough room to workout.

Don’t forget to warm up, stretch and cool down

  • This will help to reduce injury

Hydrate

  • It is important to drink water before, during and after a workout, to avoid fatigue or cramps.
