The Rose Society

The Rose: An Expression of Baptist Care
It is a small touch, but a meaningful one. Anyone who has been a patient at New England Baptist Hospital knows that the beautiful rose they receive upon discharge symbolizes distinctive patient care. The tradition dates to 1958, when Carl J.B. Currie, hospital trustee and benefactor, established the Carl J.B. Currie and Olive Currie Rose Fund, which ensures that each patient is given a fresh rose. It is a gesture that symbolizes the Baptist’s commitment to warm, personalized care and legendary service.

The Rose Society is the cornerstone of unrestricted Annual Fund Support. With a gift of $1,000 or more, you can join a growing community of generous donors—grateful patients, appreciative family members and hospital friends who consider the Baptist to be a special institution. Members of the Rose Society ensure the distinctive approach to care that sets New England Baptist Hospital apart.

This fund provides the hospital with the flexible funding that helps support our outstanding clinical programs, quality initiatives and the Baptist’s renowned legendary service program. Giving at the Rose Society level demonstrates a belief in NEBH and inspires others to give at this level.
