The NEBH Methodology Core

The New England Baptist Hospital Research Methodology Support Program provides critical review of proposed research projects through a group called the NEBH Methodology Core.  The Core consists of a group of research professionals with competency in research design for clinical trials, epidemiologic studies, qualitative research, and new measurement development.

Working with the NEBH Methodology Core allows researchers to collaborate with other researchers in the development of research protocols and grants, participate in a wide range of multidisciplinary research projects, and to supervise students, residents, and fellows, as appropriate.  The group also provides training and consultation to clinical researchers at NEBH in the development of clinical research initiatives and protocols.

The members of the team offer expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, psychometrics, statistical programming, database and project management and research coordination. The group meets weekly to review new and ongoing projects and to provide analytic advice, computational support, and help in designing sound databases. It can provide assistance both early and late in a study, as well as help investigators interpret their results for dissemination in peer-reviewed journals.
