Goals and characteristics:
The goal of this fellowship is to offer four Fellows advanced training in the management of sports medicine injuries including surgical treatment, postoperative care and rehabilitation. The Fellows actively participate in a day-to-day management of patients. They will participate in a daily surgical schedule which is heavily weighted towards operative arthroscopy of the shoulder, knee, ankle and elbow pathology.

The Fellows cover Harvard University, Tufts University and Northeastern University. They will also assist in covering the Boston Celtics Basketball Team. There are six conferences per month including topics on biomechanics, basic science, and clinical sports medicine and rehabilitation. There is a fully operational Bioskills teaching lab. There is a journal club each month during the academic year.

The Fellows are expected to be involved in either a clinical research or basic science project during their year. They are expected to produce at least one major clinical presentation.

The applicant must be Board-eligible and obtain a full Massachusetts license and have experience in general orthopedics.
This fellowship is ACGME accredited.
