The New England Region of the Arthritis Foundation is proud to announce New England Baptist Hospital as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2014 Boston Walk to Cure Arthritis. The Arthritis Foundation has appointed the Corporate Chair position to Trish Hannon, the hospital’s CEO and President. By joining forces, the New England Baptist Hospital is helping the Arthritis Foundation towards their mission of improving lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.
New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH), with six locations including Boston, Dedham and Cape Cod, Massachusetts is a national leader in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, helping those people with arthritis that the Arthritis Foundation advocates for every day. They have specialists offering both surgical and non-surgical care in all areas of orthopedics, including joint replacement, sports medicine, and spine health. NEBH will spearhead the fundraising efforts and help to raise awareness that arthritis is the leading cause of disability.
As corporate chair, Trish Hannon has committed to be a leader in the fundraising efforts of the Walk to Cure Arthritis. NEBH has made a commitment to raise $75,000 for the Boston Walk to Cure Arthritis by September. The hospital will have several fundraising events to raise awareness about the seriousness of arthritis and raise funds that can directly impact the quality of life for those living with arthritis.
“The Arthritis Foundation and New England Baptist Hospital both share the goal of improving the lives of people suffering from the nation’s leading cause of disability,” says Stephen Evangelista, the CEO of the Arthritis Foundation, New England Region. “We are grateful to have the support of the hospital, as they see the need for improvement in their patients so regularly. With support from New England Baptist Hospital, we will work together to achieve our vision; a world free of arthritis pain.”
