New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH) has been ranked as one of the best hospitals for 2013-14 in Orthopedics by U.S. News & World Report. NEBH is the only hospital in New England to specialize exclusively in musculoskeletal disease and orthopedics.
The annual U.S. News Best Hospitals rankings, now in their 24th year, recognize hospitals that excel in treating the most challenging patients. NEBH was ranked #15 nationally (#2 in New England) for orthopedics and made the best regional hospitals lists – #6 among metropolitan Boston hospitals, #7 in Massachusetts.
U.S. News evaluates hospitals in 16 adult specialties. In most specialties, it ranks the nation’s top 50 hospitals and recognizes other high-performing hospitals that provide care at nearly the level of their nationally ranked peers. NEBH was among 147 facilities—roughly 3 percent of the 4,806 analyzed for the latest Best Hospitals rankings—to be ranked in even one of the 16 specialties.
