New England Baptist Hospital is pleased to announce that they have been named to the annual Becker's Hospital Review list of 100 Hospitals with Great Orthopedic Programs for 2013.
The hospitals included on this list have orthopedic surgery departments, programs or dedicated centers that have earned considerable recognition. Exceptional orthopedic departments often include physicians who provide outstanding patient care, advance cutting-edge orthopedic research and treat professional athletes.
Many of the hospitals included on this list have earned recognition for orthopedic excellence from U.S. News & World Report, Healthgrades, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. To devise this list, the Becker's editorial team weighted the aforementioned rankings and recognition, and conducted research to find hospitals with great orthopedic programs.
What makes the Orthopedic Program at NEBH Great: New England Baptist Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine, is the official provider for the Boston Celtics. This fall, the hospital opened an outpatient orthopedic facility located in Dedham, MA, in partnership with Shields Health Care Group, an imaging and diagnostic provider. NEBH has received recognition from Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Blue Distinction Center for hip and knee replacements, as well as Healthgrades' Joint Replacement Excellence Award. Furthermore, U.S. News & World Report ranked New England Baptist as the 15th hospital in the nation for orthopedic care in 2013.
