Total Hip Replacement Pre-Operative Teaching Class
To help total hip replacement patients better prepare for their surgical experience, New England Baptist Hospital has developed Pre-operative Teaching Classes for patients and family members. All patients, along with a family member or friend, are strongly encouraged to attend one of the classes prior to admission for surgery.
Taught by the nurses and the therapists who care for total joint replacement patients, the classes contain important information about the surgery, nursing care, physical therapy, orthopedic equipment and discharge planning.
Patients and their guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk to the instructors about their concerns. Refreshments will be served at each class. This class is for patients only.
You may register for class either at the time you schedule your prescreening visit or by calling (617) 754-5565.
