At New England Baptist Hospital, our experienced hematology/oncology specialists provide skilled and compassionate care for patients and their families. Our specialists offer diagnosis and treatment for solid malignancies, such as those of the lung, breast, colon, and ovaries, as well as hematologic malignancies, such as leukemia, lymphomas, and myelomas. They also treat autoimmune diseases and non-cancer related blood disorders, such as coagulation, thromboembolism, and hemostasis issues. In addition, our specialists offer infusion treatments, such as chemotherapy, biological therapy, and antibody therapy.
The hematology/oncology specialists at New England Baptist Hospital take the time to provide patients with close, personal care. Unlike patients at academic facilities staffed with teams of interns and residents, patients at the Baptist are seen only by experienced hematologists/oncologists, who offer extended office visits and consultations, including 24-hour on-call care. This allows patients and their families to form close, one-on-one relationships with physicians. In addition, the intimate setting of the Hospital gives our hematology/oncology specialists easier access to the specialists in our Departments of Medicine, Radiology, and Surgery to rapidly facilitate the comprehensive interdisciplinary care for the patient with cancer or blood diseases.
