The hospitalists at New England Baptist Hospital provide medical care exclusively for hospitalized patients. They are hospital-based doctors who are dedicated to managing the general medical and intensive care needs of patients. Hospitalists work collaboratively with primary care physicians and other specialists, providing comprehensive inpatient care.
NEBH hospitalists also provide services in the Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU), the Hospital's on-site urgent care center for patients of New England Baptist Hospital. In the ACU, hospitalists treat patients in urgent situations and during off-hours upon the referral of a patient's attending specialist. Hospitalists also provide medical care for patients in the Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
