Chief Financial Officer
Tom Gheringhelli has been Vice President of Finance & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for New England Baptist Hospital since 2003. He also holds the position of CFO and Treasurer of the NEB Medical Associates (NEBMA) and the Physician Hospital Organization (PHO).
He is responsible for all elements of the Hospital's financial operations, which includes financial reporting, budgeting, capital planning, decision support, investments, payer contracting, purchasing, materials management, medical records, and investment (endowment & pension).
Mr. Gheringhelli also participates in debt financing as part of the CareGroup Obligated Group.
From 1996-2003, Mr. Gheringhelli was Corporate Director of Financial Planning for CareGroup, Inc., where he was responsible for the management oversight and coordination of the operating and capital budgets as well as long range financial planning for six hospitals and related physician groups.
Mr. Gheringhelli holds a Master’s degree in Finance (MSF) from Bentley College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from Northeastern University. He has also been certified as Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA).
