Morgan Herman was named Vice President for Philanthropy in October 2013. Morgan leads a comprehensive system-wide fundraising program to support our strategic direction and meet our short and long term opportunities in research, nursing excellence, capital improvements, endowments, innovation and medical education. Morgan oversees annual giving, major and principal gifts, planned giving, special events and capital campaigns.

Morgan has more than 15 years’ fundraising experience in Boston academic medical centers in small, medium, and large shops at various stages of maturity. Morgan came to the Baptist from Boston Children’s Hospital where she was Director of Major and Principal Gifts. Previously she held positions at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Morgan is a member of several professional organizations including the New England Association of Healthcare Professionals (NEAHP), Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Planned Giving Group of New England (PGGNE) and The Friday Forum.

Morgan received her Masters of Business Administration from Simmons School of Management and her Bachelor of Arts from Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT.
