Diane Gulczynski, RN, MS, CNOR

Diane Gulczynski has been with New England Baptist Hospital since 2003. Prior to her unique position as the developer of commercial bundles for low complexity joint replacement and spine, Diane served as Senior Vice President for Clinical Operations and Chief Nursing Officer until 2012. Her responsibilities during that time were associated with Clinical Program Development, Perioperative and Nursing Services, Anesthesia Services and Physician Assistants Program. Those years as a VP for all clinical services helped to shape and prepare her for the challenges associated with this new role, Executive Director for Bundled Episodes of Care Program.

Prior to joining NEBH, Ms. Gulczynski was an independent consultant for perioperative services collaborating with the likes of  DJ Sullivan Healthcare Consulting Services, Rita Fritz Systems, Inc. and others. She has held various senior-level nursing positions with New England Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and New England Deaconess Hospital.

Ms. Gulczynski has successfully coordinated multiple initiatives around patient safety and quality outcomes. She was a key leader in the Baptist's successful Joint Commission surveys and Press Ganey’s Patient Satisfaction scores which have continually placed the hospital in the top 5% nationally and top 1% locally. Much of her work today is defining standards of care which reduce variables in practice to ensure that the ‘Baptist is a low cost, high quality leader. She is also a prolific writer and lecturer. 

Ms. Gulczynski holds an MS in Management and a BS in Organizational Behavior from Lesley College and a nursing Diploma from New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing.

She is an active member of the Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives and the Association of Operating Room Nurses and maintains consultant work in Perioperative Services for Systems, Inc.
