New England Baptist Hospital is proud to sponsor the Jr. Celtics program, which challenges over 650 3rd-5th graders to develop their basketball game through skills, drills and leadership training. Youth from local YMCA's and Boston Centers for Youth and Families participate in clinics coached by members of the Celtics, and are then challenged to improve their skills for a chance to come to a Celtics game as a Jr. Celtics All-Star.
In addition to presenting the Jr. Celtics program, NEBH is the presenting sponsor of the annual Junior Celtics Leadership Achievement award, given to youth who create a community service project addressing a specific social issue in their community. The award is given out at New England Baptist night during a Celtics home game.
