US News and World Report
New England Baptist was recognized by US News and World Report’s annual best hospital rankings. The Hospital ranked among institutions across the country in Orthopedics. NEBH also scored in the category “high-performing” in Neurology and Neurosurgery, and was ranked #7 among metropolitan Boston hospitals. This year’s rankings showcased just over 720 of the nation’s roughly 5,000 hospitals. Fewer than 150 are nationally ranked in at least one of 16 medical specialties. The rest of the recognized hospitals met a standard of performance nearly as demanding in one or more specialties.
Summit Award
For the fifth year in a row the Baptist has been awarded the prestigious Press Ganey Summit Award. The Summit Award is a national award for exceptional patient satisfaction. The award recognizes top-performing hospitals that sustain the highest level of national performance, ranking in the 95th percentile or greater in patient satisfaction for at least three consecutive years. This is the sixth consecutive year that the hospital has been in the 98th percentile or higher for inpatient satisfaction.
Healthgrades
New England Baptist Hospital was recognized by Healthgrades in 2013 for patient safety excellence and outstanding patient experience.
2013 Patient Safety Excellence Award
NEBH was recognized among the Top 5% of hospitals in the nation for patient safety. This award distinguishes NEBH as an excellent performer in safeguarding patients from serious, potentially preventable complications during their hospital stays.
2013 Outstanding Patient Experience Award
NEBH was recognized among the top 10% of hospitals in the nation for patient experience. This award was given to the highest performers on responses to surveys which are collected after patients are discharged and used to assess performance based on a patient’s perspective of care.
Becker’s Hospital Review Top Hospital
Becker’s Hospital Review named NEBH among the top hospitals nationally with a great orthopedics program for 2012.
Becker's Hospital Review 100 Great Places to Work
New England Baptist Hospital was named to the 2013 Becker's Hospital Review list of 100 Great Places to Work in Healthcare. The list was developed through nominations and editorial research, and winners were chosen for their robust benefits, wellness initiatives, professional development opportunities and work environments that promote employee collaboration and satisfaction.
Boston Globe’s Best Places to Work
The Baptist was named a Top Place to Work by the Boston Globe. Only 4 other local hospitals made the list. The Boston Globe’s “100 Top Places to Work” survey is designed to see which employers in Massachusetts deliver the most rewarding work experience, according to their employees.
Cherished Neighborhood Asset Award
NEBH received the first ever Cherished Neighborhood Asset Award from Mission Hill Main Streets. This award honors a local institution that consistently demonstrates neighborliness to the Mission Hill Community.
